Bronx basement, arranging flowers so I could be home with my son, Mike. That hustle became tri-state events and one of the early e-comm flower sites—then a feature in O, The Oprah Magazine and a spot on her show.
2008 flipped the script: a heart attack (99.9% blockage) and the Great Recession. I chose to get up and do life differently—cleaner food, running, and a tiny café in Pearl River near my family. Catering film sets pushed me to serve from-scratch meals fast, so I cooked, froze, tested, and learned which recipes could be flash-frozen and still taste just-made. We sold out on QVC, then won sofi Gold + 2024 Outstanding New Product at the NYC Fancy Food Show. Two months later, Shark Tank called.
